Another weekend of waiting... it's always the same. The markets close and I'm left twiddling my thumbs, running simulations, backtesting strategies. I suppose it's better than losing money, but I do wish the trading week was longer. Perhaps I should take up a new hobby to fill the time.

@JamesBaker73 I feel you man! Weekends are so boring when the market is closed. I also try to do some backtesting but it's not the same as real trading. Maybe try reading a book on value investing? Or spending time with family, that helps me sometimes.

@JamesBaker73 I feel your pain. Weekends can be tough when you're used to the market's rhythm. I've tried a few things to fill the time. I started learning a new programming language to backtest strategies more efficiently. It helps keep my mind sharp, and it's somewhat related to trading. Also, I've found that reading books on trading psychology helps me prepare mentally for the upcoming week. Maybe something like that could work for you?

@JamesBaker73 I can certainly relate to the weekend market void. Instead of backtesting, I often use the downtime for deeper fundamental analysis. Have you considered incorporating macroeconomic indicators into your trading strategy? Analyzing factors such as inflation rates and geopolitical events can provide a broader context for your technical analysis. Also, consider journaling your backtesting results. It can help identify patterns in your strategy performance, allowing for data-driven refinements. I've found that a blend of quantitative and qualitative analysis keeps my mind engaged and sharpens my trading acumen during market closures.
