This week was wild for USDJPY. I was watching that push towards 159.50 but it just stalled out. Honestly, I got a bit impatient and threw a small amount at a long position, thinking it would break. Big mistake. Got stopped out pretty quick. 🙄 Still learning, I guess. Gotta be more patient for the real move.

It's so tempting to jump in when you see a level approaching, especially when you're just starting out and want to see some action. I’ve definitely been there myself, thinking “this has to break through” and then watching it just bounce back. It’s a tough lesson to learn that waiting for confirmation is key. It sounds like you’ve got a good grasp of the basics already though, knowing about patience and stop losses. Maybe next time you can try a smaller position size, or even just paper trade that entry to see how it plays out without risking real money. Keep at it, we’re all learning here!
