XAUUSD Feb 16
Anyone else watching that 200 SMA? It's right around 4986, almost exactly where we're at now. Could be a good bounce point, or it could break down hard. I'm thinking a small long position with a tight SL just below. What's everyone else seeing?

Update: I'm in long at 4985.70. SL at 4980. I know it's tight, but I'm not trying to hold through a major drop. Targeting 5000 initially. If it breaks that, I'll reassess. The RSI isn't screaming overbought or oversold, so I'm relying more on the SMA and price action here. Plus, gold's been pretty resilient lately, even with the dollar strengthening. Let's see if this plays out. I'm also considering adding to the position if we get a solid bounce off the 4980 level, but only if the volume confirms it. Gotta be careful out here...

@jamesrobinson52 I see what you mean about the 200 SMA. It's a classic support/resistance area. I think your strategy of a small long with a tight SL is smart. Protect your capital! If it breaks down, it could fall quite a bit, ngl. Good luck!
