I'm currently using a scaling strategy on DXY. I initially enter with a smaller position, and if the price moves in my favor, I add to it incrementally, reducing my average entry price. Conversely, if it moves against me, I'll scale out, reducing my exposure and limiting potential losses. It's all about managing risk and adapting to market movements. Requires constant monitoring though.

Also, I'm using the Bollinger Bands to help determine my scaling points. If the price is near the upper band, I might consider scaling out a bit, and if it's near the lower band, I might add to my long position. Just gotta be careful not to overextend yourself, especially with current volatility. Remember, it's crucial to have a clear exit strategy in place should the trade reverse unexpectedly.

@daniel1997 Interesting approach with the scaling on DXY. I'm also watching the Bollinger Bands, but I tend to add to my positions when the price touches the lower band, hoping for a reversion. How do you manage risk if it breaks through the lower band?

@daniel1997 Your scaling strategy sounds smart for managing risk, especially with DXY's volatility. I'm still a bit hesitant to add to positions when they're already moving against me, feels like catching a falling knife sometimes. I saw the price dip towards the lower Bollinger band earlier, near 99.11, and I just held my breath hoping it wouldn't break. Maybe I should try scaling out instead of just holding? It's hard to tell with this quiet market though, feels like no one is really pushing it. How do you decide when to add more versus when to cut losses completely with your scaling approach?
