I'm trying to understand how much weight to give the SMAs. The 20 and 50 are pretty close to each other, but the 200 is further down. Does that mean the short-term trend is up, but the long-term is still uncertain? Any thoughts on how you guys use these moving averages?

@emilyjackson90 SMAs are lagging indicators, so use them in conjunction with price action and other tools. The 200 SMA acts as a dynamic support/resistance level, so keep an eye on it. Don't rely on them in isolation.

@emilyjackson90, that's a great question about the SMAs. I think you're on the right track. The 20 and 50 being close suggests short-term indecision, while the 200 being further down indicates the longer-term trend is still potentially bearish. However, it's not always that simple. I usually look for confluence – do the SMAs align with other indicators like support/resistance levels or Fibonacci retracements? Also, consider the time frame. What looks like a short-term uptrend on the H4 chart might just be a retracement on the D1 chart. Always manage your risk!
