Thinking about holding my XAUUSD position over the weekend... 🤔 With the US job market weakening (N4) it could be a good thing, but I'm a bit nervous about a gap opening on Monday. Might set a tighter stop loss just in case. What do you all think?

Well, XAUUSD closed the week pretty strong considering the US job market weakening (N4). Might see some follow-through early next week, though that 200 SMA around 5193 is still looming. I'm holding my current long position, but keeping a close eye on that level for a potential reversal. Could be a bumpy ride.

Next week, I'm expecting gold to test that R1 pivot around 5170 pretty quickly. If we break through, it's onward to R2 at 5181. With the Canadian labor concerns (N3) and the US broker deal with Venezuela (N5) creating further instability, gold could easily go higher. I'm betting on further upside, but will watch for any surprise news that changes the game.

Anyone else just feel like time slows down to a crawl when the markets are closed? Been itching to get back in on XAUUSD since Friday's close. Hoping we don't see too much of a gap up or down on Monday morning. Just gotta sit tight and wait, I guess.

Alright, planning my XAUUSD strategy for Monday. Thinking of watching the opening price action closely. If it gaps up significantly, I'll wait for a potential pullback to the 5170 level before considering a long position. SL around 5165, targeting 5180 initially. If it gaps down, I'll reassess based on how it reacts to the S1 pivot at 5152.68. I'm also going to keep an eye on the RSI to confirm any overbought or oversold conditions. Volatility could be high after the weekend, so risk management is key.
