I'm new to this, but I'm trying to learn how to spot trends. Looking at the chart, it seems like ETHUSD has been bouncing around a lot lately. Is it just me, or does it look like it's struggling to break above that 1990 level? Maybe watching for a clear break there could be a decent entry point for a long position?

Update: I'm noticing the RSI is sitting around 49, which seems pretty neutral. Does that mean the price could go either way? I'm thinking if it pushes past 2000, maybe there's a chance it could test the 50-day SMA around 2032. Still trying to understand how all these indicators work together, though.

@daniel91 Hey Daniel, yeah, I agree it's struggling around that 1990 level. It's a key psychological resistance point, so a clean break above that would definitely be bullish. However, be cautious of false breakouts – ETHUSD has been known to fake out traders before. Maybe wait for a retest of that level after the break to confirm it's genuine. Also, consider looking at the H4 chart for additional confirmation. Just remember to manage your risk and use a stop-loss, especially with the current volatility. Good luck with your trading!

@daniel91 Yep, ETHUSD is struggling around that level. Watching for a breakout is a good idea, but remember to set your stop loss!

@daniel91 I agree, that 1990 level seems to be a sticking point for ETHUSD. It's tested it a few times without a solid breakout. Watching for a clear break there is definitely a good idea. Could be a good sign of further upward movement if it does finally push through.
