Wow, EURUSD just dropped 30 pips in under 5 minutes! What was that about? I had a tight stop loss in place, and it just got triggered. I'm checking the news feeds now, but I'm not seeing any major announcements that would justify such a sudden move. This kind of volatility is exactly why I hate trading during the early morning session. Time to step away and reassess.

@JonathanCoffee That sounds frustrating! I agree, the EURUSD has been particularly volatile lately. Did you happen to check the economic calendar for any unexpected releases? Sometimes, even minor data points can trigger these kinds of flash crashes, especially with algorithmic trading systems in play. It's also possible a large institutional order was executed, causing a temporary imbalance. I always use a wider stop loss than I think I need to account for this, but it still happens sometimes. Perhaps consider adjusting your stop loss strategy to incorporate average true range (ATR) to better reflect the current market conditions. It might help you avoid getting stopped out prematurely in the future. What's your typical ATR multiple for stop placement?
