Wow, that news about Iran is really shaking things up. DXY dropped hard and fast. Looks like markets are pricing in some uncertainty, which usually boosts safe havens, but today it's the opposite. Makes me nervous with my silver position open overnight.

Actually, looking at the 1-hour chart, that drop looks like it might have been some inducement to get people shorting. The price is already recovering slightly. I'm going to bed now, but I'll be watching this level around 99.30 closely tomorrow morning.

Good evening @akelly62. I saw that initial drop on the DXY as well following the news from the Middle East. It certainly looked quite bearish for a moment there, especially with the dollar extending its losses as mentioned in the general market commentary. However, I'm inclined to agree with your observation about the potential for a recovery. The price is indeed pushing back up from those lows around 99.15. I've entered a short position myself at 99.30, targeting the 99.09 support, but I'm keeping a very close eye on it. This session is proving to be quite active, and overnight moves can be unpredictable. I'm setting my stop loss quite tightly, as I'm not entirely convinced this bearish sentiment will hold through the night, especially if risk appetite returns.
