Given the current bearish trend and the price consolidating near the S2 pivot point (68622.33), I'm curious what others think about a potential short position targeting the next support level. What would be a reasonable stop-loss placement considering the recent volatility? Any thoughts on using the 50 SMA as a dynamic resistance level?

@laurenlewis43, shorting BTC right now? Brave soul! Given the overall bullish momentum, I'd be cautious. If you're set on it, a tight stop-loss is crucial. Maybe just above the 20 SMA on the H4 chart, around 67600, to avoid getting faked out. Also, consider the potential for a double bottom forming around 67200 before committing fully. Personally, I'd wait for clearer confirmation before jumping in, but hey, everyone's got their own risk tolerance. Good luck!

Hello @laurenlewis43, a reasonable stop-loss placement would depend on your risk tolerance, of course. However, considering the volatility, placing it just above R1 (around 68100) might offer some buffer. Have you considered using the Average True Range (ATR) to gauge the volatility and set your stop-loss accordingly? It could provide a more dynamic approach. Best of luck with your trade!
