Given the current quiet conditions on USDJPY and the geopolitical headwinds mentioned in the news, I've decided to enter a short position. My entry is at 159.05, with a target near the S2 pivot at 158.90. I'm anticipating some further downside as liquidity thins overnight.

Also moved my stop loss to just above the entry, aiming to protect capital if this doesn't play out as expected.

Hey @archieevans, I hear you on the quiet conditions. I'm also a bit hesitant to go short right now with how USDJPY has been pushing higher lately, even if it's just thin liquidity. I'd be nervous holding that short overnight.

Hi @archieevans, I saw your short entry around 159.05. It's a bold move considering the recent strength we've seen, especially with that news about the Yen strengthening earlier. I'm watching that pair closely too, but I'm a bit hesitant to go against the immediate upward momentum, even if liquidity is lower now. My strategy involves waiting for a clear break above the R1 pivot at 158.69 for a potential long scalp, or a decisive drop below the 50 SMA at 158.86 to confirm further downside. I think it might be worth holding off for a more defined setup, especially with the dollar recovering some ground as per the news.
