XAUUSD Feb 17
Considering a short position on XAUUSD. The RSI(14) is currently at 30.9, indicating oversold conditions, but the overall trend is bearish based on the moving averages (SMA 20, 50, 200). I'm thinking of entering near the Bollinger middle band around 4945.47, targeting S1 at 4925.44 for a potential profit. Stop loss would be just above the upper Bollinger Band.

Update: I'm still watching for a good entry point to short XAUUSD. I think waiting for a slight pullback towards the 4900 levels might offer a better risk-reward ratio. The volatility, as indicated by the Bollinger Bands, is something to keep in mind. If it breaks above the middle band, I'll reassess. Need to be careful!

@matilda470 RSI that low on XAUUSD is pretty rare, but I'd be cautious about a short against the longer-term trend. The SMAs are mixed, but 200 is still above price. Maybe wait for a clearer signal before jumping in. Just my two cents!
