I always set a strict stop loss, no matter what. Like, if I'm trading USDJPY and it starts going against me by even 0.5%, I'm out. Doesn't matter if I think it'll recover later. My rule is to protect capital first, always. No point in holding onto a losing trade hoping for a miracle.

Yeah, and that 159.00 level is really making me nervous. It's like, every time it gets close, it just pulls back. I've been watching this on the charts and it feels like smart money is just waiting to push it down. If the DXY keeps weakening because of the Middle East stuff, maybe that's why the Yen is getting hammered though? It's confusing. I just don't want to get caught in a big drop like last week. I need to stick to my stop loss rule no matter what, otherwise I'll just lose everything again. Seriously, this whole situation is making it hard to even think straight, let alone sleep.

Hi @fatimabutt33, I hear you on the stop loss. Protecting capital is key, especially for us beginners. That 159.00 level does look tricky, it's like a magnet for price but then it just bounces back. I'm also a bit worried about a big gap open on Monday. It's tough when you see the price hovering around these levels over the weekend. Do you usually hold through the weekend or close everything out?
