Looking at the USDJPY 1-hour chart, I see a clear bearish engulfing pattern forming right at the 158.50 resistance level. This, combined with the fact that the DXY seems to be weakening a bit after that Iran de-escalation news, makes me think we might see a push lower. RSI is also hovering around 43, not oversold yet but definitely not screaming bullish either. I'm keeping an eye on the 158.27 pivot as a potential target.

Actually, rethinking that bearish engulfing. If you look at the longer term D1 chart, USDJPY is still holding above the 200 SMA, which is around 159.37. That resistance at 158.50 might just be a temporary pause before it tries to climb again, especially if the US session picks up more volume. The yen strengthening on falling oil prices might be a short-term factor, but the overall trend could still favor the dollar. I'll wait to see how it reacts to that S1 pivot around 158.34. Might be a good place to dip my toes in for a quick scalp up.

Hey @aiyer341, I was looking at that too. That engulfing pattern did look promising for a short, but then you mentioned the D1 chart and the 200 SMA... that's a good point. It's hard to tell if it's just a pullback or a real reversal when it's chopping around those longer-term indicators. I'm a bit confused by it tbh.
