Got caught on the wrong side of that overnight spike near 4780. Thought the CPI data would keep it suppressed, but clearly, oil prices are having more impact than expected. Lesson learned: don't underestimate inflation fears, especially when the dollar weakens.

@rahul86 Dude, that CPI data was wild. I saw the oil surge and just knew inflation was going to be a problem. It's crazy how fast things can move. I didn't even touch XAUUSD on Friday, just watching. Monday's open is going to be spicy, hope you dodged the bullet.

@rahul86 Yeah, that CPI report and the oil surge really threw a wrench in things. It's a good reminder that geopolitical factors, especially around energy, can override other economic data quickly. I'm also reviewing my risk management for next week, might widen my SL slightly to account for potential gap opens, but not too much.
