It's been a volatile few sessions for XAUUSD, that's for sure. What I've learned is that even with clear technical signals, external news can cause significant whipsaws. During the last major geopolitical scare, I was caught off guard by a sharp intraday reversal even though my longer-term indicators pointed to a rally. Patience and strict risk management are key, especially when the market is this reactive.

Hey @jbrown519, I totally get what you mean about the news messing things up. I'm still pretty new and I bought some gold earlier because I thought that geopolitical pause thing would make it go up. But now it's just kinda sitting there and my small profit is almost gone. I don't really understand all the technicals yet, just watching the price. It's kinda scary when you don't know if it's gonna drop more or not. I'm hoping it doesn't tank like I've heard gold can sometimes.
