DXY is caught in a tight range. The 20 and 200 SMAs are converging, which often precedes a breakout. I'm watching for a confirmed break above 96.90 or below 96.70 to signal the next directional move. The RSI hovering around 50 confirms the indecision.

@oliviadavies52 That's a good point about the converging SMAs. It does feel like a breakout is imminent. I'm a bit nervous about a false breakout though. How do you usually confirm a breakout before entering a trade? I've had some bad experiences with early entries, thinking a breakout was confirmed, only to see the price reverse shortly after. Maybe looking at the H4 timeframe for confirmation could help filter out some of the noise?
