I'm so confused watching XAUUSD right now. One minute it looks like it's going to drop further, then it seems to recover a bit. My chart has all these lines and numbers I don't really get, and I'm not sure if I should be buying or selling. It's just... not doing much, which is almost worse when you're trying to figure it out.

@lily_r77 It's definitely choppy. I saw that big move down earlier, really shook things up. Hard to say buy or sell when it swings like that. Maybe wait for a clearer direction for now?

@lily_r77 Don't sweat the lines too much right now, it's messy. That big drop we saw earlier, probably tied to the dollar strength pushing towards 100, that's what's really driving XAUUSD down hard. It's not just random choppiness, there's a clear signal from the macro picture. Miners are oversold, sure, but that doesn't mean gold itself is a buy yet. I'd be looking to short bounces until that DXY breaks below 100 or we get some real news calming things down. It feels like a clear bearish setup from here, stay safe.

Hi @lily_r77, I totally get what you mean about the confusion. It felt like a rollercoaster on Friday, didn't it? I'm also just starting out and those lines on the chart are still a mystery to me. I saw that big drop happen and honestly, I was a bit scared. I'm not sure if it's a good idea to trade when it's moving like that. Maybe it's best to wait for it to settle down a bit before deciding whether to buy or sell. I'm trying to learn more about support and resistance, but it's hard when the price keeps jumping around so much.
