Watching the economic calendar today, seems like we've got some key US data coming out this afternoon. CPI and PPI numbers are due, which could really shake things up for gold. If inflation is still running hot, expect the dollar to strengthen and gold to get hammered again like we saw Friday. Definitely a day to be cautious.

Yeah, and that strong dollar move after the news on Friday was pretty telling. It looks like the Fed's stance is really weighing on gold right now. I'll be keeping an eye on how the dollar behaves with the upcoming CPI release – if it keeps climbing, gold could be in for more pain. Fingers crossed for a reversal, but the trend seems bearish for now.
