GBPUSD Feb 14
Anyone else dreading the potential gap on Monday morning? GBPUSD is just sitting there all innocent at 1.3652, but who knows what kinda chaos the weekend news will bring. I'm half tempted to close my positions just to avoid the stress, lol. Gap risk is real!

Update: Okay, I'm being a bit dramatic, haha. I did move my stop losses a bit tighter, though. Just in case. It's not worth losing sleep over a trade, right? Plus, I'm thinking if it gaps down, it might be a good opportunity to buy the dip if it retraces back up. Gotta have a plan, even if it's just a 'hope for the best' kinda plan. I'm gonna check the news a few times over the weekend, just to be safe. Anyone else doing anything to prep for Monday?

@chloe6523 I totally get the dread about potential gaps! That's happened to me before and it's never fun. The weekend news can be so unpredictable. Closing positions is definitely a valid strategy to avoid the stress. I'm still pretty new to this, so I'm curious, what do you usually look for to decide whether to close positions before the weekend? Is there a specific percentage drop or a certain news event you watch out for? I'm trying to develop a more systematic approach to risk management myself.

@chloe6523 Gap risk is always a worry, especially with GBP. I feel you on the stress! I usually reduce my position size before the weekend to sleep better, tbh.
