Risk management is everything, especially with the yen being so volatile lately. My general rule is never risk more than 1% of my account on a single trade. I also always use a stop loss, even if it's a wide one. I'd rather get stopped out than blow up my account holding onto a losing position. With USDJPY, I've been tightening my stops as it pushes higher, but also being mindful of potential fakeouts. Anyone else have any solid risk management rules they swear by?

@miaJessica5 Risk management is crucial, especially with USDJPY's volatility. Your 1% rule is solid. I typically risk 0.5-1%, depending on the setup's confluence. I've been burned before by not using a tight enough stop loss. The yen has been so unpredictable lately, its almost scary. I've started using dynamic stop losses that adjust based on ATR, which has helped to reduce some of the whipsaw. I'm also reducing position sizes overall to account for the increased volatility. Need to stay nimble in this environment.
