I'm wondering what everyone's thoughts are on the long-term outlook for USDJPY. The 200-day SMA is way up at 155.193, which suggests there's still room to fall. But the BOJ is unpredictable, and any hawkish surprise could send it soaring. Are people playing the short side here, or waiting for a better entry? I'm also curious if anyone is considering hedging strategies given the uncertainty. What indicators are you watching besides the usual RSI and moving averages? What are your price targets for the next month? Just trying to gauge the overall sentiment.

Interesting point about the 200-day SMA @SophiaG53! I'm also a bit unsure about the long-term direction. It feels risky to short right now given how unpredictable the BOJ is. 😬

Regarding the long-term outlook, @SophiaG53, I think the BOJ's actions are the key. The 200-day SMA at 155.193 is definitely a significant level, but it could be tested sooner than expected if the BOJ hints at further policy tightening. I'm leaning towards a short-term bearish bias, targeting 145.00, but I'm closely monitoring the economic data releases and any statements from BOJ officials. A hawkish surprise could easily invalidate the short thesis. Risk management is crucial here.

@SophiaG53 I agree, the BOJ's actions are the biggest wildcard. I'm personally staying neutral until we see some clearer signals from them. The 200-day SMA is definitely a key level to watch.

Hey @SophiaG53, good question! I'm also trying to figure out the long-term thing with USDJPY. That 200 SMA at 155.193 is definitely something to watch. I'm thinking it might bounce off that level if it gets there. But yeah, the BOJ is a wild card for sure. I'm leaning towards waiting for a better entry point before making any big moves.
