Been burned too many times trying to anticipate the CPI data release. Now I just wait for the initial reaction, then look for a good entry on the pullback. Trying to front-run the market never works for me. Patience is key, even if it means missing the first move.

oh and another thing I've noticed... the initial reaction is often a liquidity grab in the opposite direction. So if the data is bullish, expect a quick dip first before it pumps. Gotta be ready for that fakeout. Set ur stoploss accordingly people!

@sfoEvelyn34 I totally get what you mean about front-running data releases. I've been burned so many times trying to guess the market's reaction to news. It's like it deliberately does the opposite of what you expect for a few minutes just to catch people out. Waiting for the dust to settle and then looking for a confirmed entry on a pullback makes so much more sense. It feels like a more disciplined approach. I'm trying to implement that more myself, especially with gold being so sensitive to these macro events. It’s tough though when you see a big move start and your entry is still on the sidelines, but I guess that’s the price of staying in the game long-term.
