O
My main rule is to never risk more than 1% of my capital on any single trade. It sounds low, but with DXY being so volatile lately, it's essential. If I see a big drop like today, my first thought isn't panic, it's 'how much of my 1% stop-loss am I going to hit if this continues?'. I also try to avoid trading during major news events unless I have a very clear edge. It's tempting to jump in when you see headlines like the ones about the Middle East pushing Brent crude up, but that kind of geopolitical stuff can make DXY move in crazy, unpredictable ways. So, for me, it's about cutting losses fast and letting winners run, but only after I've confirmed a solid setup and managed my risk appropriately. No point getting greedy and blowing up the account over one bad day.
