Well, my little scalp trade on USDJPY didn't quite pan out as planned. Went long at 159.55 hoping for a quick push to R1, but the price just stalled out. Ended up taking a small loss when it dipped back below the 50 SMA around 159.48. Honestly, with this kind of low liquidity, even a small pullback can feel like a cliff dive. It's a good reminder to keep those stop losses tight, especially when the market's this sleepy. I was watching the Bollinger Bands earlier, and they were squeezed pretty tight, suggesting a breakout was coming, but it just fizzled. The geopolitical stuff with the Middle East is still a background hum, but it's not translating into much action for USDJPY right now, which is interesting. Guess I'll just have to wait for a clearer setup.
