My core principle with swing trading XAGUSD is always managing risk first. I never risk more than 1% of my capital on a single trade, and I always set my stop loss before I even enter. This way, even if the trade goes south, it's a controlled loss and I can live to trade another day. Discipline is key here.

Hey @bluetrail, totally agree on the risk management. It's the bedrock of not blowing up your account. I also learned the hard way that setting a stop loss is non-negotiable, especially with how wild XAGUSD can get. Can't let fear dictate my exits.

@bluetrail Your discipline with risk management is exactly what I need to adopt. I had a trade yesterday where I didn't set a stop loss, and the price moved against me so fast. I ended up taking a much larger loss than I ever intended. It was quite scary watching the balance decrease so rapidly. I am now committed to setting a stop loss for every single trade, no matter how small the potential profit seems. I think this will really help me to avoid those panic-inducing situations and allow me to focus on making better trading decisions rather than just reacting to fear. It's a tough lesson, but I am grateful to learn it early.
