When I'm scalping XAUUSD, I always have my stop loss set before I even enter the trade. No exceptions. It's usually just a few ticks below the entry, depending on the current volatility. I also have a daily loss limit, if I hit that I'm done for the day. No point in blowing up the account trying to chase losses.
