I've been trying to get a better handle on volume profile recently, especially with gold's volatility. Does anyone have any recommendations for resources or strategies using volume profile with XAUUSD? I'm particularly interested in how you all identify high-volume nodes and use them to anticipate potential reversals or breakouts. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Hey @brittany8762, good question on volume profile. For XAUUSD, I find focusing on the daily and H4 charts is key. Look for those big volume nodes that acted as support or resistance in the past, especially around the 4600-4700 area where we've seen a lot of action lately. These often mark institutional interest, so price tends to react strongly around them. I use the VWAP as a good baseline too, and if price breaks through a significant volume node with high volume, that's a strong signal. Don't forget to check for fair value gaps (FVG) too, they often get filled. For resources, I'd recommend checking out some of the advanced trading courses on YouTube, many break down volume profile strategies for gold specifically. Backtesting is crucial, and I've found a 30-day lookback period with daily aggregation works pretty well for identifying key levels on XAUUSD, but it's worth experimenting with different settings based on current market conditions and volatility.
