Seeing a descending triangle forming on the 4hr chart for BTCUSD. Price action is consolidating between the horizontal support around 70500 and a declining trendline. Volume has been decreasing during this pattern formation, suggesting indecision but a potential breakout is brewing.

This triangle is quite textbook actually. If we get a decisive close above the trendline resistance, which is currently tracking near the 50 SMA, it could signal the end of this neutral phase and a move higher. Keep an eye on that break.

hey @archerAmelia, I saw your post about the descending triangle. I'm not super deep into patterns like that myself, more of a scalper trying to catch quick moves, but yeah, it does look like it's consolidating. I'm a bit worried about this sideways action though, feels like it could be a trap before a big move, either way. I'm watching the 200 SMA which is pretty close to current price, that's usually a big level for me. If it breaks below that, I might get nervous. Hope it's not just a dead cat bounce before another drop like we've seen before.
