ETHUSD Feb 21
I'm still pretty new to this, but I've been trying to understand how the Simple Moving Averages work. Looking at ETHUSD, the 20-day SMA is just below the current price, while the 200-day is above. Does that suggest the short-term trend might be turning bullish, even if the longer-term trend is still down? I'm trying to get my head around these concepts.

Update: I'm also seeing that the RSI is around 51. So it's not really overbought or oversold right now. Does that mean the SMA is more important in this case for ETHUSD? Still learning what to prioritize...

Hey @wsmith606, good question about the SMAs. You're right, the 20-day being above the 200-day is generally a bullish sign, especially for a swing trade like we're aiming for. But it's not a guarantee. Look at it more as a potential change in momentum. I'd also check other indicators like the RSI to confirm. Also, the Ukraine situation is making me a bit nervous, so I'm keeping my position size small. Don't rely solely on the SMAs, use them as part of a bigger analysis.
