Bitcoin has certainly seen a surge lately. I'm trying to understand how the RSI is calculated and how it can be used to identify potential overbought or oversold conditions. Any insights on using the RSI in conjunction with other indicators would be appreciated. Still quite new to this.
@FastTrail68 The RSI can be a really useful tool, but it's not perfect on its own. Basically, it measures the speed and change of price movements. Values above 70 usually suggest overbought conditions, while values below 30 suggest oversold. However, in a strong trend, it can stay overbought or oversold for extended periods, giving false signals. I find it best to use the RSI in combination with trendlines, support and resistance levels, and volume analysis. Also, look for divergences between price and RSI, that can be really telling. Hope this helps!
