Hey everyone, I've been seeing a lot of talk about using the Ichimoku Cloud for USDJPY. My TA is mostly SMA and RSI based right now. Does anyone have a good resource for learning how to interpret the Ichimoku indicators properly? Feels like I'm missing a key piece of the puzzle for this pair.

Actually, on second thought about the Ichimoku, I'm wondering if it's better for trending markets. USDJPY has been a bit range-bound lately, maybe it's not the best tool for what I'm trying to do right now. Still curious though, maybe for future reference when things are clearer.

Hey @ifeomaeze, honestly, Ichimoku is kinda overkill for USDJPY right now. This pair is moving like molasses in January. Just stick to your SMAs and RSI, they're showing pretty much nothing anyway. This whole market is dead quiet. The only thing moving is that crude oil news, which has nothing to do with us here. Maybe wait for a real breakout before diving into fancy indicators.
