Just entered a long position on XAUUSD at 4795. Targeting the R1 pivot at 4817. Feels like a good entry point before any major news drops.

Hey @BTaylor1, good luck with that long. I saw you entered around 4795. That's solid support from earlier in the week, so hopefully it holds. For me, I'm a bit nervous about the 4900 resistance, especially with how choppy things have been. That Iran Strait of Hormuz news definitely gave it a boost on Friday, pushing gold past 4800 like crazy. But I'm always wary of these quick pops right before the weekend. You think that R1 pivot at 4817 is the real target, or are you looking higher if it breaks clean?
