So the DXY closed at 99.68 on Friday. Not sure what to expect this week with all the oil price madness and inflation data coming up. Anyone got a strong feeling on whether we'll see a big gap up or down on Monday morning? Trying to set up my watchlist for the week and figure out if I should even bother with DXY trades this week.

Thinking more about that DXY move on Friday, it felt a bit like an inducement to get people thinking it's going to keep climbing. But with Brent crude still over $100 and the CPI data coming, the Fed could easily get spooked and that would tank the dollar. I'm wondering if we'll see a sharp reversal once the market digests the inflation numbers. It's probably best to stay on the sidelines until we get more clarity, especially with the weekend chaos that can happen with oil prices. I don't want to get rekt by a Monday gap.

Seriously @jamesthomas98, you're still thinking about Monday's close? We're in the middle of this crazy oil price surge, and the CPI data is looming. Anyone who thinks the DXY is just going to coast along is dreaming. I reckon we're gonna see some serious fireworks. If inflation spikes again, the Fed will have to hike, and that means the dollar should be going UP. I've got 100x leverage on a DXY long right now, YOLOing on that CPI beat. Either we hit the moon or I'm ramen for a month, haha!
