Honestly, saw some bloke on YouTube rambling about how the DXY rising is gonna crush gold. He was going on about how this is just the start of a massive sell-off for gold, something about the Fed tightening. Makes you wonder if it's all just algorithms and market makers having a laugh at our expense, pushing it down when they want.

Just saw the Aussie data was awful too, which probably explains the USD strength. Typical. Everything is rigged.

Hey @EdwardBaker73, don't listen to that YouTube clown or worry about rigged markets. This whole stagflation narrative is exactly what gold thrives on. Forget the DXY for a sec, look at the oil news – prices soaring past $90 because of geopolitical tensions. That's supply shock, pure and simple, and it always drives gold up. The dollar might get choppy with '70s-style stagflation fears, but gold is the real hedge. Friday's close was strong, bouncing off those SM levels. I'm thinking next week will be all about that oil spike pushing gold higher, maybe even breaking through R1. Don't overthink it, just follow the money
