Hey @brittany1066, I hear you on those gold spreads. It's brutal when you're trying to scalp and the broker eats into your potential profits with wide spreads and slippage. Especially during the NY session, they seem to widen them significantly right before major news drops. I've noticed that the volatility from the Iran situation has made things even worse. Every time I try to enter a short position near resistance, the spread just jumps. I’m sticking to D1 charts for now to avoid this scalping headache, but man, it’s tempting to try and catch those quick moves.

Seriously @brittany1066, the spreads are insane right now. I was trying to enter a quick short around 4670 earlier and the slippage was just wild. It felt like the broker was intentionally widening them just as I clicked 'sell'. Made me rethink even trying to scalp this chop. It's like they don't want us making money when the market is moving. I swear they have algorithms just for eating retail profits on gold. Makes me want to just hold longer term and ignore this intraday noise.

Yeah @brittany1066, the spreads are brutal on gold right now. Seems like every time there's a bit of volatility, they widen them just enough to make scalping a nightmare. I try to avoid trading during major news events because of that slippage, especially on the XAUUSD. Better to wait for calmer conditions or accept wider stops.
