I'm really nervous about this overnight move for XAGUSD. I opened a long position earlier and now I'm thinking about moving my stop to breakeven. I don't want to wake up to a huge loss. Is it too early to do that?

Hey @novapoint200, I completely understand your anxiety about overnight moves, especially when you're new to trading. It's really tough to sleep with an open position and see the price fluctuating. Moving your stop to breakeven is a smart move if you want to protect your capital. It means you won't lose money on that trade, even if it goes against you. However, sometimes the price might dip temporarily before resuming its upward trend, and moving to breakeven could stop you out prematurely. I'm also debating whether to move my own stop on a position. It's a classic beginner's dilemma: risk sleeping soundly versus potentially missing out on a larger profit if the trend continues strongly. I think for now, if the fear is too much, protecting your capital is probably the priority. We can always re-enter if the price shows clear signs of continuing higher.

Hey @novapoint200, totally get why you're nervous. Overnight moves can be brutal. Moving to breakeven is a smart move to protect yourself, especially if you're not comfortable with the risk.

Yo @novapoint200, don't sweat the overnight stuff too much. If you're feeling sketchy about it, moving to breakeven is smart. Better safe than sorry when you're trying to sleep, man.
