@LakshmiIyer I've noticed the same thing with spreads widening during high volatility periods. It's especially frustrating when you're trying to scalp quick profits. I'm still learning how to navigate these situations, but i try to avoid trading during major news releases because of it. Have you tried using limit orders instead of market orders? I find that they sometimes help to get a better entry price, but of course, there's no guarantee that your order will be filled. Maybe something to consider to avoid slippage??

@LakshmiIyer Yes, the spreads are insane right now! Especially during NY session open. I've started using limit orders more often to avoid slippage, but sometimes you just miss the move entirely. It's a trade-off. Maybe switch brokers?
