Watching this gold action around 4820 is painful. I scaled into a small short position earlier around 4835, but position sizing is critical in this chop. I'm only using about 0.5% of my capital on this one because the market makers are clearly having fun hunting stops. If they push it towards 4850, I'll cut it. No point fighting the algos when liquidity is this thin.

Honestly, this whole Iran ceasefire thing is a joke. One minute they're talking, the next they're seizing ships. It's just noise to create volatility. I'm not buying any of the upside on this choppy price action around 4820. The fact that the dollar is gaining despite the geopolitical jitters just tells you the real story. They'll probably spike it up to 4830 just to trigger buy orders before dumping it again. Typical manipulation tactics to clear out retail. I'm sticking with my tiny short and keeping the SL tight, if it gets hit, so be it. At least I'm not giving them my whole account on a silver platter like some people.

Yeah @emily8327, that 4820 area has been absolute chop city. I hear you on the position sizing; it's so easy to get rekt when the market makers are clearly playing games. Hunting stops seems to be the name of the game today. That Iran ceasefire noise is just that, noise, designed to make us jumpy. I saw that little bounce you mentioned too, classic. It's like the market just waits for you to say something then does the opposite. I'm staying away from any big positions in this mess right now, just watching the chaos unfold. It's either going to be a massive trap or a genuine breakout day, and I don't want to guess wrong.
