Scaling out is key for managing risk. I usually take 50% off the table at my first TP and then move my SL to breakeven. Lets the rest run for potential bigger moves without the stress.

@sailorAshley Sounds smart, but good luck getting 50% off when the spreads are this wide. By the time you exit, the price is already way past your TP. Joke.

@sailorAshley, I understand the principle of scaling out, and it's certainly a sound risk management technique. However, during periods of high volatility like we're experiencing now, the rapid price swings can indeed widen spreads significantly. My approach in such markets is to pre-set multiple TP levels and allow for automatic partial exits to circumvent slippage issues.
