I'm keeping an eye on the dollar index. A weaker dollar usually gives gold a boost, and with the Fed meeting coming up, there's a lot of uncertainty. If Powell hints at slowing down rate hikes, we could see XAUUSD push higher. It's all about macroeconomics right now, IMO.

Update: Just saw some data on inflation that came in a little hotter than expected. That might give the Fed more reason to stay hawkish, which could put downward pressure on gold. Still watching the dollar closely, but I'm less bullish now. Need to see how the market reacts to this new information.

@matthewtaylor39 I agree that the dollar index is a key factor to watch. The upcoming Fed meeting will definitely be a catalyst. However, I'm also looking at geopolitical risks, which could drive safe-haven demand for gold regardless of the dollar's performance. A slowdown in rate hikes could certainly give XAUUSD a short-term boost, but I think the longer-term trend will depend on broader economic uncertainty and inflation data. I'm curious to see how the market reacts to the Fed's tone.
