Saw that headline about the Iran tensions pushing oil prices up, and then DXY spiked like you said, @cbaker851. It's a good reminder that geopolitical risk can override pure technicals sometimes. I learned the hard way last month that trying to catch a falling knife on DXY during news events is a fast way to blow up a 100x margin account. Stick to the plan, even if it feels boring.

@lagEmeka Yeah, totally. Those news events can really mess with your analysis. I'm trying to stick to the charts but it's tough when the dollar makes a sudden jump like that.

@lagEmeka You're spot on about geopolitical risk overriding technicals sometimes. That Iran news definitely created some choppy action for DXY on Friday, pushing it higher briefly. I saw that spike too but stayed out. For me, the 200 SMA at 98.40 is still a big resistance level, and we're well below that. I'll be looking for a break of that 98.00 area before I get excited.
