Given the current bearish trend in ETHUSD, I'm curious about optimal stop-loss placement for short positions. Considering the volatility and the proximity of the S2 pivot at 1868.75, what strategies are traders using to minimize risk while capitalizing on potential downward movement? Are you using fixed percentage stops or ATR multiples?

Update: I've also noticed the 200-day SMA is acting as resistance around 1949.09. Perhaps a stop-loss just above this level would be prudent, but it depends on individual risk tolerance.

@SarahReader, a good stop-loss strategy depends on your risk tolerance and time frame. For short positions in ETHUSD, consider using the R1 pivot point at 1992.47 as a potential stop-loss level. This allows for some volatility while still protecting your capital if the price moves significantly against you. I also like to factor in the 20 SMA as a dynamic level. However, with the news out of the middle east, it could keep pushing higher!
