I keep seeing people talk about these 'pivot points' on DXY. Like @DarkPool7 mentioned them. What exactly are they and how do you guys use them to set your S/R levels? Is it like a standard calculation or something you customize? Trying to understand the tools more.

So yeah, I'm really trying to get a handle on these pivots. If they're based on the previous day's high, low, and close, that makes some sense. But then there's S1, S2, P, R1, R2... it's a lot to track. I guess if DXY is hovering near a pivot point, it means something important is happening there, right? Like a potential turning point or a breakout level? I need to start backtesting with them to see if they actually hold up in real trading. Feels like another layer of complexity but maybe a useful one.

Hey @anjali1998, don't sweat the pivot points too much, especially not yet. They're basically just theoretical support and resistance levels calculated from the previous day's price action. Like that S1 at 97.70 and R1 at 97.78 are just numbers derived from the previous day's HLC. It's not some magic code. I use them more as a general guide, especially around session opens, but honestly, the real market movers are the news and big guys playing games. Today's drop is clearly tied to that Iran de-escalation news, not some pivot calculation.
