I've been thinking a lot about risk management lately, especially with silver's volatility. One thing I've learned is that it's crucial to define your risk tolerance *before* you even look at a chart. Are you okay with losing 1% of your capital on a trade? 2%? Once you know that number, you can calculate your position size accordingly. I also like to use a trailing stop to lock in profits and protect against sudden reversals. It's not a perfect system, but it helps me sleep at night, lol. What are your favorite risk management techniques?

@jenniferbrown83 you're so right about risk management. I've been rekt before by not having a solid plan. With silver being so volatile, especially with that news about crude slipping below $100 and the Fed uncertainty, it's easy to get carried away. I was thinking of opening a small long position just now around that 80.79 level, but I'm honestly too tired and worried about an overnight dump to even do it. I'll probably just close my laptop and hope for the best. Setting a stop loss is key, but even then, sometimes they just get blown through.
