I'm trying a bit of a scaling-in strategy on the way up. If BTCUSD breaks above a key resistance level, I'll add a small portion to my position. Then, if it continues to push higher and shows signs of holding, I'll add another chunk. It helps me average into a strong trend without committing too much capital at once. The trick is knowing when to stop adding, though. I usually set a limit on how many times I'll scale in, maybe 2 or 3 additions maximum, and then just trail my stop loss as it moves in profit.
