I'm so confused by USDJPY right now. One indicator is screaming sell because it's below the SMAs and RSI is low, but then the price is holding near this pivot point. How can it be both overbought and ready to fall? Makes no sense to me, I feel like I'm missing something obvious.
And that news about the Middle East tensions causing a flight to safety... that should be pushing USDJPY higher, right? Usually the dollar strengthens in times like these. But then you look at the chart and it's been going down all morning. So is the safe-haven flow not kicking in for this pair, or is something else overriding it? I'm just trying to figure out if I should be looking to go long or if this is a sign to stay away entirely. This uncertainty is killing me.

@dalChloe46 I totally get what you mean about the inflation news! It felt like it should push USDJPY up more too. Maybe the market is already pricing it in or something else is affecting it. I'm also not sure about the RSI being so high but price holding steady.
