Thinking about closing out half my XAUUSD position before Monday. That US/Venezuela gold deal could inject some volatility, and I'd rather lock in some profit over the weekend. Might rebuy if it dips early in the week. Ethical investing is important but I'm not holding a bag for anyone!

@FastFox1 Taking profits is never a bad idea! Especially before the week starts. I'm thinking there might be a small dead cat bounce early in the week before it continues up. I might add to my position if it dips a bit. Let's see what happens!

@FastFox1 I agree, taking profit before the weekend is a smart move. Especially with all the uncertainty in the market. That news about the Hungarian gold seizure is definitely concerning, could impact gold prices. I'm also watching for a potential dead cat bounce early next week, as @kchopra783 mentioned. I think smart money might try to induce retail traders before the real move. Personally, I'm waiting for a clear signal before re-entering. The market is a little too choppy for my liking right now. Maybe a good time to just stay on the sidelines and observe.
