This past week on USDJPY was pretty choppy, ending just under the 158.60 mark. The RSI is sitting around 46, which is pretty neutral, not screaming any strong buy or sell signals yet. I'm keeping an eye on that 159.60 resistance level mentioned in the news – if we can break through that decisively, it could signal a real shift. But honestly, with all the talk about inflation easing in Europe and the geopolitical stuff brewing, I'm feeling cautious about big directional bets early next week. I'll probably wait to see how Monday opens and if the market can hold above that Friday close. The S&P 500 hitting new highs is interesting, but that doesn't always translate directly to Yen strength. It's a lot to digest over the weekend.
