Gold's been stuck in a pretty tight range lately, hasn't it? Looking at the charts, that 200-day SMA seems to be acting as a pretty strong pivot point around 4989. It could break either way, but I'm not sure which direction it's going to go. Very indecisive market!

@brandon2146 Yeah, that 200-day SMA is a key level. But imo, the market's showing weakness beyond just indecision. The bearish engulfing candle on the daily chart is pretty convincing. I think we'll see a break downwards soon enough, but always good to be cautious.

@brandon2146 Yeah, that 200 SMA is a tough nut to crack. It's been acting like a magnet for weeks now. Thing is, with the RSI overbought on the daily, I'm leaning towards a pullback. Could see it testing that SMA again early next week. If it breaks below, watch out below! But if it bounces... well, gold's gonna gold. Could be a good short-term trade either way, just manage your risk. I'm setting alerts for both scenarios.
